Spokesman for Planning, Regeneration & Transport
I live and work in the heart of Hampstead Village and I am married with a ten-year-old son who attends a local school.
I care about Hampstead and it gives me great satisfaction to be able to contribute. Living and working here I experience local issues first hand. I am on the Heath and Hampstead Society, the Safer Neighbourhood Team Panel for Hampstead and a governor at New End School.
Educated in North West London state schools I had to work hard to put myself through college and university. My experience impressed upon me the importance of good local schools. I want to give what help I can in supporting this. As a parent myself, I am also interested in educational development.
I have initiated several local campaigns which I feel strongly about. I successfully campaigned for a safer crossing point on New End for children at surrounding schools. I have also actively assisted residents affected by basement developments. I was one of the engineers for the residents who successfully opposed the plans for the development at the old New End nurses home.
I appreciate what a privilege it is to live in Hampstead and I want to help to ensure that it continues to be an exceptional place to live and visit.
