'A Magna Carta for 2015' Discussion Brief. Our nation has a proud tradition of protecting the rights of our own citizens and those in other countries. This month we are asking for your views on whether the current system is working, or whether the time has come for the United Kingdom to re-state its commitment to guaranteeing human rights by creating our own Bill of Rights.
We recognise that this is a highly complicated area of international law and politics. We do not pretend that there are easy answers. But we know that Members will be enthusiastic to tackle this complex and fascinating area. The Brief and response form are available - as always - on our website.
Please note that the closing date for this brief is 31 July 2013.
