Feyesa was selected as the Conservative Party Candidate for the Camden by-election to be held on 30th November 2023
Once selected he stated 'I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you all: I’m running to be your next councillor in Highgate as a candidate for the Conservative Party! The well-being of our local communities means a lot to me, and I’m ready to step up and work hard for them.
Highgate (including Dartmouth Park and Highgate Newtown) holds a special status as a standout neighbourhood in Camden, and my goal is to preserve its wonderful character, ensuring it remains both environmentally friendly and secure. While my background in politics might not be extensive, my passion in community well-being runs deep, and I am eager to contribute positively.
My journey to this point has been quite unique. I've spent my time volunteering with our local Conservative Association, learning the ropes and getting to know the issues that matter most to us. I've also been a supporter of many forward-thinking ideas, like being a vegan for over five years and being a member of the Equity union for actors and staying informed critical issues such as AI.
I’m running for council because I want to be a voice for all of us. There’s a real need for change and representation in our community, and I believe I can be the person to bring that to the table.
I know that with my diverse background and my dedication to this community, I can measure up to the community work of Sean Berry and take it further. I’m excited to join forces with the wonderful people of Highgate and work together for a brighter future.
