Khan inspired Rat-Running
Sadiq Khan’s 20mph speed limit on Finchley Road has led to rat-racing along residential roads in Frognal, particularly Ferncroft Avenue, Bracknell Gardens and Kidderpore Avenue. Khan and TFL enforced the limit of us, with minimal and concealed consultation.
Cars are regularly accelerating at speeds of 30-40mph and it is only a matter of time before there is an accident.
We told Camden Labour that this would happen and Cllr Gio Spinella and Andrew Parkinson brought a motion to Full Council to oppose the plans.
Every single Labour Councillor voted in favour of the plans. The Lib Dems failed to oppose Camden’s plans and also voted in favour of the new Finchley Road speed limit. Its a shame they rarely oppose Labour.
We are campaigning to introduce traffic calming measures in the roads affected.
