Camden Conservative Councillors wrote to the CNJ. While it has not been published yet we hope it will be next week. The letter stated
'We unequivocally condemn the deplorable terrorist attacks committed by Hamas in Israel. As Camden Conservative Councillors, we want to re-assure the local Jewish Community that we stand with them.
We are pleased Prime Minister Sunak has condemned the terrorist attacks and has pledged his steadfast support for the state of Israel.
It’s sickened us to see the rise in anti-semitism and targeting of British Jews. Such hate crimes have no place in Camden. We believe our borough residents will reject any divisive rhetoric and ignore any call to hateful actions.
JW3 in West Hampstead has had to increase its security checks. It’s appalling that Jewish organisations up and down the country have had to do this.
Camden Conservatives will be doing all we can to ensure that Camden is a safe and welcoming place for Jews.
