The next Greater London Authority elections will be held on May 2nd 2024.
On June 14th 2024 members of the Conservative Party in Barnet & Camden selected Julie Redmond as our candidate to fight the Barnet & Camden seat on the Greater London Authority. Julie will be joining us campaigning soon.
Julie hit the ground running and joined in with our campaign session in Regents Park ward on Saturday morning. She was horrified by the filthy streets and crime-ridden estates of Labour-run Camden and relishes the opportunity to shine a light on Labour failings and push back with a better alternative.
You can read a bit more about Julie below.
Since joining the Conservative Party in 2018, Julie has been an extremely active member and activist. She stood for election in 2022 in Westminster, and has held a number of roles including Vice Chair of the Women's Conservative Group and Vice Chair of Events and Fundraising for her local area.
Julie is passionate about supporting the local community, and has dedicated her time to working with The Felix Project, which distributes surplus food to charities, and offering expert advice in her capacity as the local City Council Health Champion.
Julie is married with an 8-year old son. She trained as an NHS A&E nurse and works as a nurse trainer in many hospitals and clinics around London, including in Barnet and Camden, and during Covid she helped with the vaccine rollout.
