Shepherds Walk Path Wall on point of collapse, Cllr Stephen Stark acts!
Hampstead Towns local Camden Councillor, Stephen Stark, who is also a chartered civil engineer had noticed a garden wall bordering on Shepherds Walk path is in a dangerous condition and at risk of possible collapse. The path is a popular cut though between Hampstead High Street and Fitzjohns Avenue and used by children. Brickwork gives no warning of collapse and should the wall collapse there was a risk of injury or worse still fatality. You can see the picture before.
Cllr Stark met Camden's officer on site who immediately agreed that the wall was in a dangerous condition and set about installing protection measures in place until the wall can be safely taken down and rebuilt. Cllr Stark asked Camden Council to check the condition of all the wall and fencing along the path.
