Cllr Stephen Stark leads Toy appeal donation to Royal Free Children's Ward
Hampstead & Kilburn Conservatives appeal for toys and cash to buy them was a tremendous success. Several local residents gave marvellous toys and donated almost £600 for us to buy toys for Children who end up in Hospital on Christmas Day. We had a particularly lovely donation from a lady in Ferncroft Avenue of adorable knitted toys, pictured below.
All the toys were bought from (and wrapped and age labelled) Happy Returns - 'the Independent traditional toy shop' 36 Rossyln Hill, Hampstead, NW3 1NH
The toys are given to children who are in hospital. on the ward or children's A&E, on Christmas Day. The Royal Free Charity organised the receiving of the toys and thanked all who had donated so many presents.
We particularly want to thank Amanda Eliades - Chair of Hampstead & Kilburn Conservatives Charities Committee who - helped Cllr Stephen Stark organise the appeal.
