Cllr Andrew Parkinson is one of three Conservative councillors representing Frognal & Fitzjohns, London Borough of Camden. Andrew was elected in the 2018 local elections and previous stood as a candidate in the 2014 local elections.
"I work as a barrister specialising in planning, environmental and property law. In 2016, I was ranked in the top five planning barristers under the age of 35 in the country.
I often work for local residents’ groups opposing over-development and ensuring our conservation areas are protected. As Vice Chair of Redfrog and adviser to the Hampstead Neighbourhood Forum, I have helped draft new neighbourhood plans for our area.
I previously worked as a teacher and was Head of History at a local comprehensive. Ofsted described me as an ‘inspiring leader’ and my departmental leadership was judged ‘outstanding’.
I live off Kidderpore Avenue with my wife, and will use my knowledge of planning and education to work hard to ensure that this area continues to be such a fantastic place to live and work."
