Hampstead residents asked local Conservative Councillor Stephen Stark last week about the missing lamp post on Branch Hill, which disappeared following a vehicle colliding into it.
Cllr Stark spoke to Camden Council officers about this and pushed for it to be restored. Within a week, the lamp post was replaced. The light and electrics, which were damaged in the crash, will be repaired by the end of this month.
We are keenly aware of the importance of street lighting in the area, which is dark and dangerous.
Better lighting means fewer accidents and less crime, and a safer Hampstead for all.
Although the lamp post falls just outside our Hampstead Town ward, Conservative councillors work closely with councillors in nearby wards to ensure all residents benefit. If you have any issues, big or small, please contact us via the details above. We’d be happy to help.
