Those who live near construction sites know that scutinising plans does not end once planning permission is granted. Huge sites at Mount Anvil, Kidderpore Avenue, and Arthur West House (79 Fitzjohns Avenue) have led local Camden Councillors Siobhan Baillie, Andrew Mennear, and Gio Spinella to back residents in challenging developers.
Andrew and Gio have held detailed discussions about how to minimise disruption caused by Mount Anvil's large trucks to the surrounding residential areas. Siobhan arranged a site visit at 79 Fitzjohns Avenue, with residents and experts examining damage to roads and vehicle site access.
We are painfully aware that living near a construction site is a nightmare. There's no magic wand to end noise and traffic. We are, however, committed to scrutinising plans and — with the help of amazing local residents — able to monitor developers' behaviour and find ways to minimise impact. Please get in touch if you are affected by construction matters.
Your local Councillors are also setting up an Area Action Group meeting on traffic planning. We will let residents know the date and venue in due course.
