Brondesbury Park's Conservative councillors, John Warren, Joel Davidson, and Carol Shaw, have expressed their concern at Brent Labour's cynical scaremongering about next year's budget.
The three councillors will be proposing an alternative Conservative Opposition budget for all Brent residents who are not supporters of the abject leadership of Cllrs Butt and Pavey.
Cllr John Warren, leader of the Conservative Opposition on Brent Council, said:
"For months, Brent's Labour leadership has sought to scare Brent residents into thinking that a huge swathe of front-line services are to be axed.
"The Labour leadership has made residents worried about cutting Youth Services, street cleaning, and care services for our elderly and vulnerable residents.
"Cllrs Davidson, Shaw and myself have analysed the budget submissions in detail, and on March 2, we will be presenting an alternative Conservative Opposition budget for Brent that protects front-line services and further invests in areas of social need that Brent residents rely on.
"We reject the arrogant and cynical approach taken by Brent Labour, who have no interests in serving the residents of Brent, and are far happier to scare them with stories about non-existent cuts to services, whilst doing nothing to tackle the inefficient and wasteful way that they have been running Brent Council."
