You may have noticed the double height building contractors’ metal containers on the corner of Belsize Lane (see photo). What an eyesore this was!
Following meetings between Cllr Stephen Stark, local residents, the owner of the property with the containers and Camden Council officers, the containers have been removed and the area in general is to be spruced up.
The paving will be repaired and the public bench is to be replaced. Thanks to everyone who drew this to our attention and campaigned for improvements.
Stephen added, “Camden Conservatives are concerned about the cumulative effect of developers’ works on residents. Projects such as basements and longterm building work are incredibly stressful to local households. We are trying to persuade Camden Council to take more measures to protect residents. Keep us updated and we will do our best on your behalf!”
