Camden has proposed to parking on Regent’s Park Road and asking for your feedback on what you want to happen in Primrose Hill. Camden is not consulting the public on this, and we want you to have your say at http://bit.ly/RPRparking
We know these are extraordinary times, and the last thing you expected is a letter from local campaigners (don’t worry, this was delivered by volunteers wearing gloves!). However, your say in this will be really important, and there is no other time for you to make sure your voice is heard.
Camden proposes suspending at least 15 parking bays on Regent’s Park Road. This may be temporary or it may become permanent, and your views will affect that. One of the bays is a doctor’s bay outside Greenberry, while fourteen are dual-use residents’ / visitors’ bays outside the Queen’s, Oka, Lemonia, the Post Office, J Pizzeria, Anthony’s Deli, Sweet Things, and Ripe Kitchen.
It’s vital we support our local independent businesses and keep people safe. Creating enough space to let restaurants seat customers in a socially distanced manner is important, as is allowing customers and deliveries to reach them safely and allowing alternatives to packed public transport. Striking that balance is key, and you can help us and Camden do that.
We have set up a short survey on this at http://bit.ly/RPRparking
Feedback on the big picture and the details are important. Do you support or oppose the changes? Or only outside some premises, but not all of those named? Is there anywhere else you want bays suspended? Do you have any other changes you want made to our community?
Fill out the survey at http://bit.ly/RPRparking. Primrose Hill’s voice matters, so we will push Camden to back whatever changes the majority of respondents support.
