Over the last few weeks, you may have seen the information I have sent out regarding my policies and the upcoming by-election to represent Hampstead Town at Camden Council this Thursday 27 September. I am now writing to you to remind you to vote on Thursday and to ask you to cast your vote for me.
Working for the British Chamber of Commerce, founding and running the Boxing Academy, beating the BNP in Barking and sitting on the Government Riots Panel, have all shown that I have the proven values, experience, energy and skills to make a difference to Hampstead and South End Green. I will do all I can to serve and support local residents with any difficulties that they may have.
I hope that you share my vision for Hampstead. Hopefully, you have either been able to speak to me or to a member of my campaign team.
Before you vote, I would like to remind you what I will fight for if you give me the privilege of serving you.
• Hampstead Police Station: In speaking to Hampstead residents, I found this to be a major concern and an incredibly important issue; I have already taken action. During this campaign, I have visited Boris Johnson twice and the Deputy Mayor for Police and have secured a pledge that they “will not consider a proposal to dispose of Hampstead Police Station until suitable alternative accommodation can be found”.
• Local Independent Shops: I worked hard with Jessica Learmond-Criqui in our summer campaign to help promote local independent retailers and to stop more global chains and phone shops from taking over our high streets. I will continue with this campaign to boost local businesses by leaning on Camden Council to reduce local business rates and rents.
• Planning and Development: Hampstead is a beautiful place: I want to keep it that way. Modern developments and basements often compromise Hampstead’s appearance and integrity. I will oppose developments that threaten our history and heritage and which disrupt residents’ lives.
• Working Together: I will work with Cllr Chris Knight and those of all political colours to improve the quality of life for residents: from parking to street clutter, it is all part of keeping Hampstead beautiful for everyone.
I hope that you choose to support me in the election on Thursday.
