London MEP Marina Yannakoudakis, Cllr Simon Marcus and Cllr Gio Spinella joined Conservative volunteers on Sunday 18th November for Mitzvah Day 2012.
A day about doing a Mitzvah, or good deed, the Hampstead & Kilburn Conservatives arranged a project at the Marie Curie Hospice to clear the communal garden and restore outside furniture so they can be enjoyed by patients.
Marina Yannakoudakis MEP said: “It was great to see the before and after of the garden and to learn more about the amazing work the Marie Curie team do.”
Hampstead and Kilburn Conservatives Vice Chairman for Social Action Marc Nykolyszyn added: “Marie Curie is a fantastic organisation that provides so much support for patients, families and friends in times of need, so Mitzvah Day was an ideal opportunity to give something back.”
The Marie Curie Hospice is located on Lyndhurst Gardens, Hampstead. Information can be found at: http://www.mariecurie.org.uk/en-gb/nurses-hospices/our-hospices/hampstead
