LABOUR’S APRIL FOOL FOR CAMDEN: AN END TO WEEKLY BIN COLLECTIONS
Camden Labour guarantees that we will maintain weekly bin collections for the whole of the next four-year term. P11 Camden Labour manifesto, p11

LABOUR CAN’T KEEP THEIR PROMISES TO CAMDEN. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
From TODAY, bin collections across almost all of northern Camden have been CUT IN HALF by Camden’s Labour administration.
This is despite Labour councillors being elected on a manifesto in 2014 pledging to ‘maintain weekly recycling and waste collections for all of our residents’. Camden Conservatives have opposed the reductions from day one - and proposed a costed alternative that would save core services like bin collections.
We’ll keep fighting to reverse this cut, and will propose another costed plan next year to bring back weekly collections.
But we’re working to ensure you get the support and advice you need to adjust to the changes: whether you’ve received the wrong bin, a collection’s been missed, you need weekly collections to deal with nappies or other products, or you need help with anything else.
