Frognal & Fitzjohns and Hampstead Town Conservative Councillors are monitoring Camden Council’s tree policies.
Cllr Siobhan Baillie (Frognal & Fitzjohns) has been working with residents and Camden Council to secure tree preservation orders and a woodland preservation order around Branch Hill House. If granted, the orders would protect the trees and require consent from Camden before cutting them down. Branch Hill is an important green corridor and link to the Heath.
Cllr Stephen Stark (Hampstead Town) has been monitoring several tree issues in Hampstead Town Ward. Camden Council’s tree officer has recently carried out an inspection of the tree outside No.20 Heath Hurst Road. The tree is apparently dead/dying and unfortunately it has become necessary to remove it for health and safety reasons.
Our Town Team have asked that the removed tree be replaced with a suitable species of tree. The new tree will be planted as part of the planting programme that will run from November 2016 to March 2017.
Please do not hesitate to get in contact if you have any questions on tress or any other Camden issues :-
