Frognal and Netherhall Conservation Area Update
■ Following funding provided by Conservative Councillors, Camden has published new Conservation Area statements for the Redington Frognal and Fitzjohn’s and Netherhall Conservation Areas.
■ These new updated statements will make it harder for inappropriate development to be approved in our area.
■ They make clear that new development should fit in with the local surroundings, be of high-quality design, and avoid the loss of trees and green spaces. Both statements also emphasise the harm that is caused by traffic congestion and poor air quality.
■ Camden’s previous statements for both areas were decades out of date, and therefore were often ignored. Camden had not updated the statement for Redington Frognal for over 20 years! You can read the full reports

■ Conservative Councillors Andrew Parkinson and Gio Spinella approved the use of CIL funding to update the statements, and have worked with local community organisations, including the Redington Frognal Neighbourhood Forum and the Netherhall Neighbourhood Association, to develop their content.
■ We will make sure that Camden uses its new power to resist any future plans that threaten to harm our area.
