Thanks to the generosity of local members and supporters, Hampstead & Kilburn Conservatives have delivered dozens of Christmas presents to sick children stuck in the Royal Free Hospital this festive season.
The presents were gratefully received from a huge range of donors, and delivered by London Assembly candidate Dan Thomas, Camden Conservatives leader Cllr Claire-Louise Leyland, Cllr Oliver Cooper, and H&K Conservatives social action officer Natalie Eliades.
Local councillor Oliver Cooper, who represents Hampstead Town ward in which the Royal Free is located, said, "The Royal Free is a truly world-class hospital and we’re proud of the care they provide. This is a small way of saying thank you to the staff and cheering up their youngest patients this Christmas."
In the last few months, our social action programme has also included a 100km charity hike for the Gurkha Welfare Trust and Oxfam, a bake-off for Macmillan Cancer Care, collecting for the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal, helping out at a synagogue and Kentish Town farm on Mitzvah Day, and much more.
Local Conservative social action officer Natalie Eliades said, "Hampstead & Kilburn Conservatives wish all those children and staff at the Royal Free a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you especially to those in the hospital's communications and play specialists teams that made it possible for us to deliver the gifts."
