Camden still plan 2000 flats at the O2 Centre
Camden is rewriting its planning policy to allow 2,000 flats at the O2 Centre. It just doesn’t want you to have a say.
Camden is rewriting its Local Plan to allow the O2 Centre to be demolished and replaced with up to 2,000 flats. This would be tantamount to giving permission, as any objections on the basis of over-development, 16-storey height, or loss of facilities would have to be ignored.
Public Denied!
“It is not necessary to carry out a public consultation” Camden’s (Labour) Cabinet Member for Planning, 11th October, after Camden Conservatives tabled a motion for a consultation “We need to crack on” without consultation Camden’s Chief Planner, 13th July, after the Leader of Camden Conservatives asked for a consultation.
But Camden has now delayed the decision under pressure from Conservative councillors. Tell Camden to drop its plans for the O2. Camden’s (Labour) leadership is still refusing to use the delay to consult you - with just webinars where you listen to Camden, not a consultation where it legally has to listen to you!
