Monday night saw the second annual Camden Community Awards Ceremony; celebrating excellence throughout Camden, in all areas – academic, business, philanthropic.
The evening went off beautifully, Cllr Claire-Louise Leyland & Will Blair (Parliamentary Candidate for Holborn & St. Pancras) were delighted to be asked to give an award for Community Work to Mr Abdul Momin, the founder of The Bengali Workers Association.
Cllr Simon Marcus also attended and was pleased to be able to introduce Baroness Sayeeda Warsi to the other guests, they gave the prize for best local businessman to Abdul Hafiz.
Thank you to all of those who made this night possible and to all of the winners, it is a tribute to your hard work and determination that this was possible at all. Long may the Camden Community Awards continue.
