On Monday, 16 October the developer closed Admirals Walk for all users including pedestrians without notice.
The developer delivered a huge crane onto the road and parked it outside the neighbouring house and starting slinging material over the neighbouring house onto their site.
The elderly 90 year old resident living in the neighbouring house was frightened and worried.
Cllr Stephen Stark immediately contacted Camden Council and met Camden Council’s director and officers that same day. Camden have accepted that mistakes were made and they need to review and tighten up their procedures and ensure that developers take full account of the effect of their access and working requirements on residents.
The Good News
Following Cllr Stark’s intervention it was agreed that the crane would be removed by Wednesday, 19th October.
No more extensions to the closure of Admirals Walk will be tolerated and the road is due to be fully re-opened on 6th November.
This is good news for the residents and everyone using the area.
